Windsor’s Picsume: Changing The Way Canadians Find Work And Get Hired

A local tech company, Picsume, has announced the launch of its innovative new platform, changing the way Canadians enter the workforce. Picsume eliminates the antiquated process of resume building, by creating a live dynamic work profile which contains only relevant, pertinent and verified information. Picsume’s proprietary technology extracts current job postings to its platform, pairing candidates directly with employers through curated opportunities across Canada.

“There is a disconnect in the workforce. The whole world is hiring, yet nobody can seem to find work,” states Jordan Goure, President/C.E.O, Picsume. “The workforce needs a revolution, for both candidates and employers alike.”

“Having been in the staffing and recruitment industry for 20 years, I’ve seen first-hand the evolution of hiring,” says Meighen Nehme, President and C.E.O, The Job Shoppe, Co-Founder of Picsume. “Candidates are increasingly looking for opportunities that allow them to learn multiple skills, work flexible hours and gain experience in a variety of industries. Picsume is changing how candidates present themselves as part of the workforce, and how employers interact with them.”

Picsume’s innovative workforce solution has garnered interest within our school systems with demonstrations to students, who are poised to join the workforce.

“We believe that our students, through Picsume’s platform, will be selected for jobs that they deserve and are qualified for, not just for a position at a random place that is hiring,” offers Marnie Edghill, Coordinator/Professor, Hospitality/Hotel & Restaurant, St. Clair College.

The creative new start-up was also recently awarded two Government grants; NRC IRAP, which assists Canadian SMB’s with technological innovation; as well as i.d.e.a. Fund, a program that fosters and supports a more sustainable green economy in Southern Ontario.

Picsume is gearing up for its official launch heading to Toronto for the Collision Conference, next week. “a global gathering of provocative ideas, brilliance, and investment dollars.” according to HuffPost.

“The selection of Picsume by the Collision team for the ALPHA Program not only highlights their remarkable potential but also provides them with a gateway to influential individuals and organizations worldwide,” adds Yvonne Pilon, President and C.E.O, WEtech Alliance.
