This Summer’s Exhibitions at the Art Gallery Of Windsor

The AGW’s 75th anniversary continues in this summer’s exhibition 401 West! Portrait of the Region featuring 20 artists from the Permanent Collection showcasing 73 works. Artists from the 1940s to present day explore the many views of the region and the diversity of art from London, Windsor, Chatham, and Detroit.

From paintings to photography to neon constructions to motorcycles, the exhibition includes many stories, spanning more than seven decades, including never before seen acquisitions. The exhibition also includes a very special donation by the Ford Motor Company of Canada, 25 works from renowned artist Yousuf Karsh.

This multi-year exhibition features new selections of historical paintings presented alongside old favourites on the Grand Salon Wall. Recently acquired historical, modern and contemporary works also enrich the continuing education programs Canadian Heritage and the Land, Portraiture and the Body, Math in the Gallery and Indigenous Perspectives Through Art.
