City of Windsor Voter Info for 2022 Municipal Election

The Municipal Election is just days away, and the City of Windsor would like to remind voters that Voting Day is Monday, October 24, 2022. Voting hours are 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Here is some helpful information for voters:

Who Can Vote?

You are eligible to vote in the 2022 Municipal Election in Windsor if on voting day you are:

  • A Canadian citizen; and
  • 18 years of age or older on voting day; and
  • A resident or the owner or tenant of land in the city of Windsor or the spouse of such owner or tenant of land; and
  • Not prohibited from voting under any law

The following are not eligible to vote:

  • A person who is serving a sentence of imprisonment in a penal or correctional institution
  • A corporation
  • A person acting as executor or trustee or in any other representative capacity, except as a voting proxy in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act.

How Do I Vote?

Visit the Voter Info page for more information and details on how to cast your vote for this election. We encourage you to bring your voter notification card with you to the voting station, but please note that it is not a requirement in order to be eligible. Eligible voters who did not receive a voter notification card in the mail can still vote. Learn more about accepted identification.
