Windsor ComiCon names Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation as Beneficiary
Windsor ComiCon has announce that the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation has been named as the official beneficiary of this colossus comic event, taking place in the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on Saturday, October 15 (10 am – 6pm), and Sunday, October 16 (10 am – 5pm) respectively. “As a celebration of comics, sci-‐fi and all things pop culture in our community, we are pleased to name the Foundation as our beneficiary,” said ComiCon President & CEO Steve Menzie.
The two-‐day event will feature a myriad of celebrities including but not limited to Jason Priestly (Beverly Hills, 90210) and Tia Carrere (Wayne’s World); autograph sessions and photo oportunities, cosplay contests for adults and for kids, shopping galore, comic artists, Celebrity Q&A sessions, panels, workshops, a kids zone and much more!
Adult tickets start at $20, kids under 6 get in free with an adult (paid ticket). “Guests will be invited to make a donation when purchasing a ticket at the gate while the Foundation will use the event as a promotional platform to engage the community about its services to build awareness,” said Menzie. A cheque will be presented to the Foundation at the conclusion of the event.
According to Ron Foster, VP, Public Affairs, Communications & Philanthropy and Executive Director, Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation “Windsor ComiCon will provide us with a unique opportunity to reach into new markets of people who will engage with the Foundation through their gifts of time and contribution of funds that will drive the mission and success or our programs such as Hats On For Healthcare.”
In addition to naming a beneficiary, Windsor ComiCon is pleased to recognize the following super hero league of corporate sponsors and community partners who will drive the success of this year’s program.
Returning for a second heroic appearance in the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor on Saturday, October 15 (10 am – 6pm), and Sunday, October 16 (10 am – 5pm) respectively, Windsor ComiCon is an all ages accessible event; inclusive of some of the most popular genres including: comics, sci fi, horror, gaming and anime / cosplay.
