Windsor Police Service Pack for a Purpose for Local Special Olympics Athletes
Once again this year the Real Canadian Superstore-Walker Road has agreed to allow the Windsor Police Service to Pack for a Purpose.
On Saturday, April 20, 2019 Windsor Police officers along with Special Olympics athletes will be at the check-outs of the Superstore packing groceries and collecting donations for Special Olympics Ontario.
Last year they raised over $4,000 through the generosity of the Superstore shoppers. The goal this year is to surpass that number and to make the Easter Weekend shopping experience a little more manageable for Superstore patrons. Extra special this year, WPS will be joined by athletes from Herman Academy who will be travelling to Toronto in May for the Invitational Youth Games.
100% of the funds raised on Saturday will fund these athletes.
Pack for a Purpose takes place at the Real Canadian Superstore located at 4371 Walker Road, Windsor, on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 9 am -3 pm.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics is the movement’s largest grass-roots fundraiser and public awareness vehicle. Special Olympics Ontario provides sports training and competition opportunities for over 16,000 people with an intellectual disability.
