City of Windsor Hours for Remembrance Day 2018

City of Windsor Holiday Hours for Remembrance Day 2018

City of Windsor offices will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018 in observance of the Remembrance Day holiday. City Council’s meeting schedule is unaffected by this holiday, but the meeting of the Planning, Heritage and Economic Development Standing Committee that would normally be held on Monday will instead be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.

311 Call Centre
The 311 Call Centre will be closed on Monday, November 12, 2018. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

211 Windsor-Essex
The 211 Call Centre will be open 24 hours on Monday to serve residents throughout Windsor and Essex County.

Garbage and Recycling Collections
There will be no residential collection services on Monday, November 12, 2018. Residential garbage, yard waste and recycling collection services will be delayed by one (1) day. Please refer to your 2018-2019 Waste Collection Calendar. Night commercial, front-end loader and weekly recycling collections are not delayed. Public Drop-off & Household Chemical Waste Depots
The depots located at the northeast corner of Central Avenue and E.C. Row will be open on Monday, November 12, 2018. Regular fall hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., during which the depot is available for the self-disposal of garbage, renovation material, furniture, recyclables, appliances, tires, shingles and yard waste. Some disposal fees may apply.

Parks and Recreation
All community centres and all customer care centres will be open for regular hours and programming on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2018.

All indoor pools, including the Windsor International Aquatic and Training Centre (WIATC) Presented by WFCU Credit Union (both natatorium and fitness centre) will be open regular hours on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2018.

All arenas will be open for regular hours and scheduled rentals on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2018.

Adventure Bay Family Water Park
Adventure Bay Family Water Park Presented by WFCU Credit Union and Cannon Cove are both open regular hours on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2018.

Parking Enforcement
There will be no parking enforcement on Monday, November 12, 2018, and municipal ticket payment offices will be closed. Ticket payments may still be made online via the E-Services tab.

Windsor Public Library
All locations of the Windsor Public Library will be closed on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12, 2018. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.

Museum Windsor
Both the Chimczuk Museum and François Baby House locations are normally closed on Mondays and will remain closed on Monday, November 12, 2018.

Transit Windsor
City buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Monday, November 12, 2018. The Tunnel Bus will operate on a regular weekday schedule, with the last bus departing Windsor International Transit Terminal at 7:00 p.m. Schedules and route maps are available online. The Customer Service Office at 300 Chatham Street West is open regular hours on Monday from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. and the sales office at 3700 North Service Road East will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well.
