The GECDSB Officially Joins International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Leamington DSS approved to offer International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Leamington District Secondary School has officially been named an I.B. World School. This allows the school to deliver the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme to Grade 11 and 12 students beginning in September of 2019.

LDSS has offered the I.B. Preparatory Programme since September 2017. There are currently 35 Grade 10 students and 60 Grade 9 students enrolled. It is the first school in Essex County to receive an I.B. World School designation.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is an intensive academic curriculum that emphasizes independent thinking, inter-cultural awareness and a global perspective.

An I.B. information night will be held at LDSS on Tuesday, November 27th to provide students and families with more details about the program.

The GECDSB has also applied for I.B. World School status for Riverside Secondary School.

Deborah Jones and her team at Biz X Magazine work so incredibly hard to produce each issue and their November / December Awards 2024 issue is fantastic! So happy to see that Erie Street Woodworks won in their Woodworking Wonders category. There were 196 nominees this year and I have no idea how Deborah and the team of judges were able to choose between all of the talented nominees.

Deborah and the Biz X team are not only a group of people who work together, they are the spirit of Windsor's community, business essence and bringing social awareness. As a new member of this beautiful city, it was through Biz X magazine that I learned who is who and where is where. I attended their 25th Anniversary Gala in 2022 and what a fantastic evening.
