“We are so very grateful to Matt Tatomir and Jason Trussell, Owner/Operators of the Windsor Essex and Tilbury restaurants, and all of the McDonald’s staff. Our JMCC board members and staff are very excited to join with their restaurants to celebrate this special day, and participate alongside their crew. Like prior years, we hope our involvement gives a great boost to McDonald’s McHappy Day efforts!”

2023 marks the 46th McHappy Day in McDonald’s® Canada’s since it started in 1977. It is the company’s longest running and best-known national fundraising event with more than 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants celebrating McHappy Day this year. Since its inception, the event has raised more than $70 million for Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC®) Canada, the Ronald McDonald Houses® and hundreds of other local children’s charities. At the heart of our community commitment is RMHC Canada, which is dedicated to giving sick children the one thing they need most: their families by supporting Ronald McDonald Houses and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms ®across the country. RMHC provides families of sick children with a home-away-from-home or a place of peace and calm within a hospital.

JMCC has been providing family-centred therapy and support services to more than 3,000 children and youth annually in Windsor and Essex County for over 44 years. Depending on the need, services are offered in our Centre, virtually, in schools, and in our community. Our staff work together with families to assist children and youth with mobility, communication and participation in everyday activities.
