OVER 40 ACTS ADDED TO MOVEMENT DETROIT 2017 LINEUP

Following Movement Detroit’s initial lineup announcement, which included Monday’s Main Stage headliner Carl Cox as well as The Belleville Three, Adam Beyer, Barclay Crenshaw, Danny Brown, Dixon and many more, the festival organizers are excited to reveal over 40 additional acts to its 2017 lineup, bringing this year’s billing to 113 performances. Today’s Phase 2 Lineup announcement features world-renowned electronic music artist and producer deadmau5 under his Test pilot alias as Sunday’s Main Stage headliner and Techno pioneer Richie Hawtin as Saturday’s Main Stage headliner. Movement returns to Detroit’s legendary Hart Plaza on Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-29, 2017.
It’s been nearly four years since deadmau5 performed under his Techno-driven namesake, which he premiered alongside fellow Canadian and festival favorite Richie Hawtin at SXSW in 2013. Following the critically acclaimed performance, Testpilot released “Sunspot (White Space Conflict)” on Hawtin’s Plus 8 Records, which was widely embraced by fans and critics alike. This also marks the second time the mau5trap label boss has performed at Movement (his first performance was in 2008 asdeadmau5).
Other notable acts announced today include: Juicy J, the Memphis-born hip-hop icon and founding member of Academy Award-winning group Three 6 Mafia; and a special performance by Detroit’s own Carl Craig as Carl Craig presents Versus Synthesizer Ensemble. The complete list of Phase 2 acts can be found below.
3-Day GA Weekend Passes, 3-Day VIP Weekend Passes and Single-Day Passes are now available at www.movement.us. Stay tuned to the Movement social media channels and website for festival schedule and upcoming announcements.
