Remember To Use The Positive Reminder Card! Part 4.

Remember To Use The Positive Reminder Card! (Coronavirus Part 4. Staying Optimistic through this Pandemic)

Being in self-quarantine is not easy. You want to be out there and socialize as only we humans can. But, during this time, it is very important to remind yourself about some of the things that will help you cope.

Remind yourself that you are getting stronger everyday
As days go by, it may seem worse. But just remember, you are still getting by. You are still coping through it. What does this mean? It means you are immensely tough. Instead of telling yourself that you are losing control, tell yourself that you are able to overcome this and you are prepared for what is happening. It may not be an easy time, but you can still have a peace of mind by reminding yourself that you are strong enough to get through this.

Remind yourself to leave all your fears and worries to God
GOD is with you every day, even if you can’t see him. He is protecting you through these times. The most important thing you can do is release all your worries to HIM. With Faith, Love and Hope, there is no fear, no depression, worries or anxieties. So put your Faith in GOD and know HE loves you. HE wants you to know that you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Remind yourself to find your happy place and choose to be happy
One thing I used to do, when I was going through fear and anxiety, was to lie down and close my eyes. I would use my imagination and find my peaceful and happy place. I would imagine lying down on a gorgeous golf course. It is a beautiful breezy cool day. No one is there, but me. With the beautiful trees surrounding me, I can hear the lovely sound of leaves from the gustling winds. There are beautiful birds flying above and singing to me and God has the sun shining upon me. With my eyes still closed, I begin to smile and release all negativity. It is bringing me only happy, peaceful and loving thoughts. I start to calm down and feel at peace and happy. I open my eyes from this captivating, imaginary scene that I created and I feel so much better.
What is your happy place? It could be where you went once before or you can create your own.

Remember, your problems are not holding you hostage. You are free to choose the way you want to think and the way you want to feel. So it is pointless to choose harmful thoughts that are going to make you feel 100 times worse. Start choosing thoughts that are going to make you feel better.

Just choose happy over anything. Your mind and your body will thank you. Being happy will not only help you through this time, but it will help you through life in general.
You are responsible for how you feel about any situation. So if you want to be happy, then be happy

Remind yourself to be grateful
Just remember, you have family, friends, clothes, food and a house to live in to keep yourself isolated. There are other beautiful people who are disadvantaged and not as lucky as you and I.
So it is important to say “thank you” to the universe and not take anything you have for granted.

Remind yourself that bad days are okay
It is okay to have bad days. I don’t think anyone in this world has not experienced bad days from time to time. But, it is just as important to never give up in life and especially during this time. Accept it and embrace these bad days. Bad days will not last and neither will this pandemic. With darkness there is light. With hopelessness there is hope. With sadness there is happiness. So always remember, with every negative thing, there is always a flip side to the coin.

Remind yourself that you are not being singled out
The world is going through it, but if you notice, there are people still laughing, still smiling and making the best of this situation. I still love to laugh. Am I worried? Of course not. If I sit down and worry, then I am giving away my power to something that does not deserve it. I still try to spread positivity in people who need it the most. We are all going through this, so don’t worry about it. We all have each other’s back. We all agree on one thing and that is to see this pandemic destroyed.

Remind yourself that laughing and smiling alleviates stress
As I mentioned, people are still laughing and smiling because it feels good. Every day I want you to watch or read something that makes you laugh. The importance of laughter and smiling is that it can be a tremendous helping hand, especially during this time. I recently watched a movie called “Sandy Wexler” on Netflix, starring Adam Sandler. There was a scene in the movie that made me laugh so much that my whole body was filled with good euphoric energy.

Remind yourself that this pandemic is not going to stop you.
Take life one day at a time. Continue to enjoy your life. All you have to do is take the precautions and that’s it. Don’t let this stop you from living. Even if you are at home, you can still be productive. Every morning before you get out of bed, promise yourself that regardless of what is happening in this world, you are going to have a GREAT day. You can’t control the virus, but you can control how you feel and what you can do.

Remind yourself that you are lucky
There are exceptional doctors and nurses out there who are putting their safety on the line for you and others. We should never complain for being in a lockdown. I have seen doctors who work 14 hours a day and can’t see their families. On top of that, they sleep on floors. We should not be complaining .It is all about perspective. And when we see it through that lens, then you would consider yourself fortunate.

And finally…….Remind yourself that YOU ARE AWESOME
You are an amazing person, you are an important person and you are a courageous person. No matter what is happening at this moment, make your moments count. You do not have to put a pause on your life. Yes there are some restrictions, but so what? You can work around them, you can still do things. Just continue to see the good through this pandemic and as I noted, stay strong, and this will ultimately help you fight through. You are too awesome to waste a second thinking about the unprepossessing negativity of the coronavirus. Stay happy and most of all stay safe and healthy. You have won before and you will win again.

God bless you and take care. Never give up. Keep moving forward. Believe in yourself. Be a legend.
