Support Windsor-Essex on McHappy Day 2017!

As much an annual rite of spring as the Tigers’ Opener at Comerica Park, McHappy Day 2017 is once again upon us. Today, Wednesday, May 3rd, McDonald’s invites Canadians to unite as neighbours on McHappy Day to support local families when they need it most.

On McHappy Day, a small purchase makes a big difference in the lives of thousands of parents with sick and healing children. $1 from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal®, and hot McCafé® beverage sold in McDonald’s restaurants will go to Ronald McDonald Houses Charities Canada® (RMHC®), and local children’s charities across Canada.

This year, McHappy Day celebrates a special milestone in Canada, marking the 40th anniversary of the inception of McHappy Day. Over the years, McHappy Day has raised more than $56 million in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities and local children charities.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada provides a home away from home for more than 30,000 families each year while their children heal in a nearby hospital. As of last year, Windsor is one of many fortunate Ontario communities blessed with a Ronald McDonald House, uniquely situated within the confines of Windsor Regional Hospital’s Met Campus facility.

Biz X’s Joe McParland helped out this morning for McHappy Day as a media personality at the Drouillard Road location. “Few corporations in Canada make as much an imprint on the lives of Canadians in need as McDonalds” says our “Cup of Joe’. ”I was thrilled to help out in a small way this morning to assist them in their important endeavour.“

Visit any of the 1,400 McDonald’s restaurants from coast-to-coast on today to give back to your community and help make a difference in the lives of the tens of thousands of families and children across Canada.

Windsor/ Essex County – money raised will support our Windsor-Essex Ronald McDonald House and Big Brother & Big Sisters. All local money raised here stays in Windsor Essex.
