KICK OFF THE SUMMER WITH A VISIT TO JACK MINER!

Sunday, June 24th, the Jack Miner Sanctuary is celebrating that Summer is here! Bring the family, and visit the Sanctuary from 12:00-4:00pm for an afternoon of crafts, games, fun and story-telling by Jane Buttery of Truelight Books.

In Jane’s own words: “Let’s celebrate where we live with books! I have always loved making up stories since I was a little girl. Now I have the joy of writing books, children may enjoy. When I stopped being a teacher, I wrote a book called “If I could go to the Harrow Fair.” Children in my town love this fair and they still ask for the book. That made me think of other places and events children like. I wrote more about where we live and what we love to do. Can you see the places here? I hope to continue writing more books just for you!”

Jane will be in the Museum to read from one of her heart-warming books, and will be giving one of her signed books away to the lucky winner of a quiz about Jack Miner! Be sure to stop by between 1:30-3:30pm to meet Jane.

Hotdogs and drinks will also be available for a small donation. As always, admission to the Sanctuary is free. Come on out, or take a walk in the woods, feed the birds and celebrate summer!
